Pixar's Onward Trailer Release
/Disney Pixar has dropped a trailer for the Onward movie that they have been working on. This movie is a fun take at the fantasy genre with a very Game/D&D like feel to it.
The trailer shows life in a fantasy realm if it was modernized to how we live today in our current society. It makes creative and playful jabs at everything. The trailer starts with a real fantasy feel and is immediately disrupted with an airliner going across the screen. The music then changes as a newspaper is dropped off at a fantasy looking house with the title of the paper hilariously being “Centaur gallop poll results”. You get the standard greeting of suburban life trope with a troll at the door and a centaur running by. A bridge troll taking toll fees at a toll road booth. A business giving cash for gems. And a dragon that behaves as a dog.
It appears that the main character and his friend are going off on some sort of adventure. A funny cut to unicorns behaving like raccoons in this trailer caught me off guard and made me chuckle as they were shooed off for eating trash. The voices in the show are Chris Pratt, Tom Holland and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
The movie is to release March 6th 2019.
