Kickstarter Board Games You Should Know About In November 2020
/Are you looking for some new games that you can’t find at your local game store? After a month off, we are back with a list for the Kickstarter games that you should know about for November 2020.
Star Scrappers: Orbital
From the designers of the extremely popular Terraforming Mars comes Star Scrappers: Orbital.
“Star Scrappers: Orbital is an engine building, worker placement card game for 1-5 players, designed by Jacob Fryxelius, and set in a rich space western universe. The players expand their orbitals by adding module cards following the patterns of entrances and exits, play event cards, attack others, and compete to build the best, most diverse, and balanced construction. The game features up-to-date rules, amazing artwork, two different solo modes: for peaceful and competitive players, and an exclusive expansion for backers only!”
The game pieces look fantastic for this game and the concept of building a space station like environment and defend it from other players is tantalizing.
Star Scrappers: Orbital has surpassed it’s Kickstarter goal so back it today to get not only the game, but the Kickstarter exclusives that are coming with it for backers only! You can back their project here: http://kck.st/2GoSLRz
The Wanderer's Guide - Fantasy Maps For Your RPG Campaign
I have always loved world building guides for your RPG’s. It was the whole reason that I got several of the books in Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition to help build out the world that I had envisioned for my player group.
The Wanderer’s guide is a beautifully illustrated book that take the work out of some map building and give your players something really unique to look at.
One thing that does not get enough credit these days is the dry erase abilities on surfaces for RPG games. I struggle to find a time where there are not notes or maps being emphasised or even spell abilities being portrayed where writing on the surface would be perfect. This Kickstarter offering has just that with dry erase maps.
So if you are in the market for some cool fantasy maps with that feature in mind, consider backing the Wanderer’s Guide. You can back them on Kickstarter using the link here: http://kck.st/35eM8uI
Escape the Dark Sector - Expand the Universe
Escape the Dark Sector is the second game in the series of Escape the Dark. This game is an 1-4 player game that takes roughly 45 minutes to play. The game is mostly story based in it’s nature and is thick with theme.
“Playing as the beleaguered crew of an impounded starship, players find themselves confined to the detention block of a vast space station. Using a variety of advanced gear and weaponry, they will embark on a desperate mission to find their ship and blast their way home.”
Over the course of the game the group will need to overcome obstacles and monsters which add to the intensity to the end game of attempting to return home.
This game is really unique on this list and really gives the feeling of a dead space vibe to it for myself.

Shadowfey
If you are looking for fantastic 3D terrain ruins for your war games or RPG games, Shadowfey has some fantastic offerings with their backed Kickstarter campaign. These ruins look fantastic and I would love to get my own hands on them.
The pieces are modular so they are stacked meaning the design on the insides is complete and your miniatures are able to explore the insides of ruined towers and buildings.
The requirements for this Kickstarter is that you have a 3D printer that is capable of making items yourself as the designs are shipped via files for you to use for your 3D printers.
This appears to be more the direction terrain is going these days for RPG and Wargaming and these look absolutely fantastic. Be sure to paint them though!

Rune (Reprint & New Micro-Expansion)
Our final entry this month is Rune, the game is being reprinted with a new micro expansion. This games new micro expansion allows for 3 players which is a unique setup for most games that are released and a party size that is under looked. The game is very simple and takes normally 15 minutes with the goal being to summon Zemilio at the end.
This game looks really simple to play but also has something to it that makes it playable over and over again. And who doesn’t want additional meeples to their collections?
